| Imagine a beautiful park,
nestled within the tall East Texas trees, with winding
cobblestone sidewalks that have children's names engraved
along the edges, waterfalls and beautiful landscaping
flowing along the edge of a rippling stream. We live in a
day and time where children are not appreciated for the
gifts from God that they truly are. This park is a constant
reminder to us to celebrate and be thankful for their lives
and not take the brief time we have them for granted. It
provides a wonderful opportunity for families to have their
children's names remembered forever.
The Children's Park, in
Tyler, TX was completed and donated to the City of Tyler in
October 2004. The park features a story ring for children's
story hours, life-size solid granite teddy bears, two
waterfalls that flow into a fish pond, bronze life-size
statues of children playing, benches lining the sidewalks, a
beautiful butterfly garden and opportunities for families to
include their children's names.
The park is located in Tyler
at 900 S. Broadway, across from The Woman's Building and
just north of Hogg Middle School.
